Persheng De Geer and Perdica Babaheidari are the co-founders of BY BANOO, a Swedish premium work bag brand for women they built from scratch with little funding, no playbook, and no prior experience in fashion or e-commerce.
The idea started with a problem Persheng couldn’t solve as a management consultant: a work bag that was genuinely elegant and functional. With Perdica training as a medical doctor, they paused their careers, drew their first prototype in PowerPoint, and built a bag out of cardboard.
Four months after launch, British Vogue came calling. They thought it was spam.
Since then BY BANOO has reached 50+ markets, been featured in Elle, Hello!, and Emirates Woman, and spoken at D-Congress 2026. Their products are handcrafted in Portugal using Italian leather, and come with a lifetime repair service, because the relationship with the customer doesn’t end at the sale.
