Shipping Methods


Online store Delivery methods needs to be linked to our warehouse management shipping methods. If your online store is integrated to MyOGOship, you need to follow this instruction.

Delivery methods should be set correctly on both the online store and my.OGOship.com. The general way of setting up delivery methods in online shopping is that the customer is given the option to choose from few delivery methods. These may include, for example, home delivery, pickup, letter, etc. Each delivery option in your online store should be linked to one of the my.OGOship delivery methods.

For example, there might be two methods of delivery in the online store:

  1. Delivery to Pick Up Point
  2. Home Delivery

These two shipping methods can be linked to my.OGOship.com as follows:

  1. Delivery to Pick Up Point: Omniva, parcel
  2. Home Delivery: DHL Express

Setting up shipment methods

Depending on you online store integration, linking is done either:

  1. By using shipping method name, or
  2. By using a code that has been set for the shipping method in the online store platform.

Linking the methods by using a code

For example if, online store “Delivery to Pick Up Point” is supposed to link with OGOShip by Omniva Parcel, and you are using a integration where delivery is with code. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Name the shipping method with a code for “Delivery to Pick Up Point”, for example. “pickup_123”
  2. Open merchant page in my.OGOship.com
  3. Link shipping method, by enabling the shipping method and giving the code for the delivery method “pickup_123” to MyOGoship
    shipping method by the row “Omniva, Direct” .

After all shipping methods from online store has linked to one OGOship shipping method, your setup is done. After linking is done, order from the online store is transferred to My.OGOship.com with the right delivery method selected by the customer on you online store.

Linking the methods by using a name

For example if, online store “Home Delivery” is supposed to link with OGOShip by DHL Express, and you are using a integration where delivery is with name. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Copy the exact name of the delivery method in your online store, i.g. “Home Delivery”
  2. Open merchant page in my.OGOship.com
  3. Link the shipping method, by enabling method and giving the exact name ot the delivery method “Home Delivery” to the row “DHL, express”.

After all shipping methods from online store has linked to one OGOship shipping method, your setup is done. After linking is done, order from the online store is transferred to My.OGOship.com with the right delivery method selected by the customer on you online store. For example Home Delivery is shipped with DHL.

Using the same shipping method to more than one delivery code

If you want to link more than one online delivery method to one of the OGOship Shipping method, you can do so by dividing the codes with semicolon. For example you wish to link free shipping and pick up point to Posti, Pickup point. Go to my.OGOship.com and add to shipping method in merchant page: “nouto_123; free” to the row Posti, Pickup point. In this case, the online store will tranfers orders with free shipping and with posti Pickup point to the Posti Pickup Point -method.

Problems in linking delivery methods

My.OGOship.com identifies shipping method in the order transferred by integration from online store. In case the linking is done incorrectly orders will not be transferred to collecting, but the order is transferred to RESERVED -phase. This means that the merchant needs to change some information on the order before it can be save to NEW and be Collected and Shipped.

The most common mistakes of incorrect linking of shipping method are:

  1. Delivery method name name has been changed in online store and not changed to my.OGOhsip.com
  2. Delivery method code code has been changed in online store and not changed to my.OGOhsip.com.

What to do, if orders are transferred RESERVED:

  1. Check the delivery method from your online store
  2. Check does your online store transfer orders with delivery method name or code
  3. Check if the name or code is exactly the same in your online store as it is in my.OGOship.com merchant page “code in online store”-field.
  4. If the code or name is incorrect, correct the name/code
  5. Remember to change all orders form RESERVED to NEW and check that all orders has selected the right shipping method.

Different delivery methods globally

“How may I offer different delivery methods to different countries?”

In most online stores it is possible to offer different delivery methods around the world, depending on where the end customer wants the shipment to be delivered. Similarly, modifying the online store settings you can provide the my.OGOship.com delivery method differently in different parts of the world. In your online store settings, for example, you can show delivery X only when a customer is in Sweden. In the case where the customer is outside of Sweden, it is only possible to provide the delivery method Y and hide the delivery method X. In the my.OGOship.com X is merged into one actual delivery method and Y is merged into another actual delivery method.
